Gladys Ganda was the Member of Parliament for Nsanje Lalanje in Nsanje District, serving from 2019 to 2025 for the Democratic Progressive Party.1

In the September 2025 election the Nsanje Lalanje seat was won by an independent candidate, with 56.7% of the vote.2
