Biography

Halima Alima Daud was the Member of Parliament for Dowa South East in Dowa District for the Malawi Congress Party.

In the September 2025 election the Dowa South East seat was won by an independent candidate, with 85.5% of the vote.1

Before entering Parliament, Daud worked as a minister. Daud served as Deputy Minister of Local Government (2020–2023).
