Biography

Gerald Kapiseni Phiri is the Member of Parliament for Salima Central in Salima District, elected for the Malawi Congress Party in the 2025 general election.

In the September 2025 election Phiri won Salima Central with 40.5% of the 20,802 votes counted, 7.4 points ahead of the DPP candidate, in a field of 6 candidates.1
