How to Report a Crime in Malawi: Contact Methods and Police Stations

If you are a victim or witness of a crime, traffic incident or disaster, or suspect criminal activity in your area, you can report it to the Malawi Police Service using several methods.1 The police encourage you to report any incidents promptly so they can respond and investigate.1

Police stations across Malawi are organised into regional areas. Each station has a phone number you can call.6

What to report

You should report crimes, traffic incidents, disasters and any suspicious criminal activity in your area.1 The police service works to detect, investigate and prosecute cases, and community reports help them identify crime hotspots and plan patrols in areas where crime is most common.2
