Biography

Thoko Tembo has been Minister of Mining since 29 May 2026, appointed by President Peter Mutharika. Earlier in this government Tembo was Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development (January 2026 to 29 May 2026).12

Tembo is also the Member of Parliament for Neno North in Neno District, sitting for the Democratic Progressive Party.3
